Why pushing a deadline helps

Not all projects are as structured as they should be. Having multiple projects means some lack the attention they need. Some of these projects can stall if it becomes unclear what or who we are waiting for. I have learned that there is a quick way to get out of this situation: push for a production date. While people will hate you for it, mainly because they think you are pushing crap, you quickly find out what the minimum requirements really are! Use with care, don't abuse of it and buy the victims a beer!
