Kennis Product selection criterion #1

Product selection criterion #1

When selecting a product, you probably have a list of must haves / nice to haves. There is one thing that we always consider when selecting a product: How quickly can we move away from it.

Don't put your data in there and get stuck with a product that just does not cut it. You want to be able to switch. You want to keep your options open.

The other way around, if you are developing a product and take your users serious, make sure they can get their data out. Your product is good, no doubt, but it may turn out it does not fit some customers' particular situation. There is a multitude of reasons why people may want to switch.

Facilitate moving away from your product by all means and ensure that users leave with positive memories. They might come back.
