Innovation yields results

Innovation can't be organized, it is embedded in the genes of an organization. Innovation pops up everywhere. Individuals step up and change things for the better, or fail and learn from it.

A lot of innovations are natural in a sense that they happen in day to day projects and yield direct results. The use of a better framework, or smarter technique to achieve better quality, or ship faster. They result from the ideas of smart people that don't settle for good, but want to overdeliver on customer projects.

Sometimes however it pays off to dedicate a group of people to further drive innovation. Detached from requirements, from politics, from project deadlines. The goal however remains to yield results. In our case, working, shippable software.
